Training Course on Presentation Skills
The training course is designed for participants that as part of their work regularly give presentations and speak at public events. The objectives of the training are:
- Participants are enabled to plan and prepare an effective, audience and message oriented presentations and public speech, using a range of tools and props;
- Participants have improved their public speaking and presentation skills;
- Participants have increased their confidence in their own ability to deliver an effective and concise presentation and public speech;
- Participants have identified their strengths and weaknesses in presentation skills and identified strategies to alleviate their weaknesses and build on their strengths.
Training Course on Participatory Situation Analysis & Project Planning (PSAPP)
SAANED offers a five day training course in Arabic and English on the Participatory Situation Analysis and Project Planning Approach. The approach was developed over a period of two years 2008-2010 with the assistance of the Gender Social Fund, CIDA. The approach was developed in Jordan and tested in Jordan, Syria and Egypt in cooperation with local Civil Society Organizations. The course enables participants from Civil Society and the Private sector to facilitate a participatory analysis and planning process with local communities and relevant stakeholders to develop needs and capacity based project proposals and plans.

This training handbook has been developed for the Gender Social Fund (GSF) of CIDA Jordan office to provide a practical guide to project planning that follows the Results Based Management Approach that CIDA advocates. The objective of this initiative was to improve the quality of project proposals that are developed as a result of GSF Request for Proposals and at the same time introduce a more participatory and hence more sustainable approach to project appraisal and planning.
Trainers Guide – TOT Manual: Gender and Food Security in Yemen
This trainer’s guide is designed to give the trainers a step by step guideline at hand to prepare and facilitate the 12 sessions of the training on “Gender and Food Security in Yemen”. The trainer’s guide is composed of an overview of all training sessions, a detailed step-by-step guide for each session (including training materials and timing) and the respective session specific task-sheets and background information for the trainees.
